San Diego Home Prices Hold Steady, Interest Rates Down

Since last July, the median price of homes sold in San Diego County has been holding steady at around $450,000.  The median for January 2015 was $449,000.  Prices are still up 9.7% over a year ago however.  The median price in January 2014 was $409,000.
Mortgage rates for a 30-year fixed loan for a borrower with good credit have dropped to 3.9% compared to 4.2% a year ago.
If you're looking to make a move, now may be a good time.  Sellers may wish to take advantage of higher prices.  Buyers may wish to capitalize on the lower interest rates that have dropped over the past few months.
Let me know if I can provide a list of recent comps in your neighborhood, or a list of homes for sale in the areas where you may be interested in buying.
