For the past 2 months, the median price of all homes
sold in San Diego County has hovered between $580,000 and $600,000. However for the first 15 days of the
current month of January, the median has increased to $610,000 which would be
an all-time high. It will be very interesting to see if this trend
continues throughout the rest of the month.
Prices are also up over the same month last year. The median for January
2019 was $550,000 for an increase of 11%.
The inventory of homes for sale in San Diego County is currently 4,200 which is
down from 6,300 a year ago.
Mortgage interest have continued to drop since the over the past year. The
30-year fixed rate for a borrower with good credit is currently around 3.64% whereas
it was 4.8% a year ago.
If you're thinking about selling, now may be a good
time. Prices are up, inventory down and
interest rates low. Let me
know if I can provide an estimate of your property's
value...of course without cost or obligation.
Also, let me
know if I can provide you with a list of homes for
sale in the areas where you may be interested in
buying.
