The median
price of all homes sold in San Diego County last month was unchanged from the
previous month. The median for December was $440,000, the same as November.
Prices are still up 5% over a year ago however. The median price in December
2013 was $420,000.
Mortgage rates
for a 30-year fixed loan for a borrower with good credit have dropped to 3.9%
compared to 4.4% a year ago.
If you're
looking to make a move, now may be a good time. Sellers may wish to take
advantage of higher prices. Buyers may wish to capitalize on lower interest
rates that have dropped significantly over the past few months.
